You might have noticed we’ve been a bit quiet lately. That’s because we’ve moved from Melbourne, spent 3 weeks travelling around Australia, and then headed to New Zealand, where we are now doing a ski season until October. So with all that going on and getting settled into our new apartment, we’ve ended up lacking a bit on the blog front. But worry no more, as we’re now back and ready to get going again.
This recipe came about following our vegan croissant recipe. We noticed a large number of people were wondering where to find a vegan butter to make our croissants. Whilst we were recommending Miyokos Kitchen butter, it isn’t available worldwide which meant some people were struggling to find what was best.
As we all know, I love trying new places, but it’s so easy to fall back into the hole of going back to places you’ve been to before. If you know something is good, why try anywhere else? This is what we nearly ended up doing on Saturday. Wanting to book somewhere for dinner, we wanted to go back to Smith and Daughters; admittedly they have a new menu, but it’s still not a new place. As expected though, they were fully booked, apart from some super late night places, so we looked for somewhere else. (more…)
