Elixiba – Review

Elixiba – Review

Unlike our trip to Soul Burger, this wasn’t planned. It was Sam’s birthday in May, and on this actual birthday, we ended up on the Sunshine Coast. Being that it was his birthday, it only felt right to go out for somewhere to eat. We just had to figure out where.

With trusty Google, we found that we were close to a vegan restaurant called Elixiba. It sounded interesting and seemed popular, so off we went.

Let me just start by saying, this place is amazing. The whole vibe of the place is just the coolest, and the way it is decorated is beautiful. Even down to the music that is played all helps to add to the overall experience.

So Elixiba is a vegan restaurant and herbal alchemist, which is pretty unique. There are SO many amazing looking things on the menu and different drinks and cocktails that it was really difficult to choose what to go for.

Both myself and Sam decided to have one of their amazing looking burgers. Unfortunately, for the life of me I can’t remember what it was called or what was in it. So you’ll have to just trust me when I say it was amazing and just go with the photo! It also came with the most delicious chips. I absolutely devoured it.

As it was Sam’s birthday, we decided to get dessert as well. This was the ‘Tower of Heaven’ which we shared; paelo chocolate chia cake, raw caramel mousse, raw banana ice cream and raw chocolate sauce.  Just look at it! It was really yummy as well and again, would highly recommend.

I have to admit, I think this might be my favourite restaurant now, and I’m disappointed that now I’m in New Zealand, I can’t go back! But if you ever get the chance, then I urge you to go. You really won’t be disappointed.
